As more functionality goes into JDE Orchestrator, we at K-Rise get more and more excited about the potential of the product.  Just last week, as an internal POC we built a sales order processing orchestration and linked it to a K-Rise mobile form.  In less than an hour, we were inputting new orders into JDE via a smartphone and getting a real-time order number in return!  Yes, it was POC and yes they were simple orders, but it worked all the same and shows the promise of what Orchestrator can become.

That said, K-Rise isn’t abandoning Business Functions.  They still work and are reliable, especially for high volumes of transactions.  A good percentage of JDE shops still use BSFN’s for mission-critical apps.  With that in mind, this week we created a new service that takes the pain out of mapping data elements to business functions.  You can read about this new feature in the K-Rise forum post here.

Speaking of integration, with so many of our customers using Salesforce, we created a simple way to connect salesforce with JDE through the K-Rise Platform.  We also have some new graphical data mapping capabilities which we’ll discuss in future newsletters.
